--- Directions to get to Shinomoto’s office --------------------------------

Airport to Kyoto JR station
 
  • Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kyoto JR station:
    Take the "Haruka" super express train, which connects Kansai Airport and Kyoto JR station (~1.5 hours, ~3,000 JPY).
  • Osaka International (mainly domestic) Airport to Kyoto JR station:
    Take an airport limousine bus to Kyoto JR station (~1 hour, ~1,000 JPY).
 
Kyoto JR station to Kyoto University
 
  • Take bus No. 17 and get off at the "Kyoudai, Nougakubu Mae" stop (~20-30 min, 220 JPY).
  • Or you can take bus No. 206 (There are two routes of the 206. Take the Higashiyama-Dori route, not the Kitaoji-Dori route.), get off at the bus stop "Hyakuman-ben" (~20-30 min, 220 JPY), and walk to the bus stop "Kyoudai, Nougakubu Mae", which is due east uphill on Imadegawa-Dori (~5 min walk).
  • You may also take a taxi from JR Kyoto station to "Kyoudai, Nougakubu Mae" (~20 min. ~2,000 JPY).
Finding my office in Kyoto University
 
  • Enter the northern campus of Kyoto University via the north gate near the "Kyoudai, Nougakubu Mae" bus stop, and head for the building #5 (Physics dept). Shinomoto’s office is #434 on the 4-th floor.
